  1. As I haven’t started reading To the Light House, I can only make some assumptions. For example, I think that the story will be about a woman who finds refuge for her meditations in a light house or that an event of major importance will take place in the light house, like the encountering a person whom she will fall in love.

  2. Sofia, The idea is to make predictions based on the covers, and to make them on Voicethread, preferably in audio format, or at least typed. Could you do that? See the instructions above.

  4. Great work, Julieta and Ariana! I know I had recorded myself explaining the task. Not a clue why it's no longer available. Anybody heard my comment?

  5. By looking at these covers I infer the novel is going to be about a solitary woman who lives by the sea. In some of the covers, there is a lighthouse. This may be where the man she secretly loves lives temporarily. All in all, TTL may be a love story involving drama and suspense.

  7. By looking at the covers, I can infer that one character will be a woman who may lead a solitary and monotonous life. The fact that the woman is looking backwards may imply that her inner thoughts predominate over the external world. By the image of the sea which is also present in some covers, I can assume that the setting is a natural environment. Another prediction I can make is as the weather is foggy, particularly, on the cover where the Lighthouse is, I may say that, in some parts of the story, the tone may be gloomy.

  8. Emanuel's comment comes after he finished reading the novel, and he states that the most suitable cover is the one for the Wordsworth edition, which he likens to Cubist paintings. I'm no expert, but following the links provided earlier as well as http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/cube/hd_cube.htm and http://www.guggenheim.org/new-york/collections/collection-online/show-list/movement/?search=Cubism&page=3&cr=19 I must confess I fail to see the similarity. Any thoughts?
